The Assemblies of the First Born, Derby was established in the 1960’s from humble beginnings.
An inspired minister named Thomas Cooper with a handful of fellow brethren would meet to worship in his front room in Upper dale Road, Cavendish. Derby.
The fellowship expanded and they went on to hire a hall on Osmaston road. Derby.
The fellowship continued to grow and they progressed to buying their own property which was an old bakery in St.James road, Derby.
Finally, in 1973, although due to be demolished, the Holy Trinity church was purchased with the help of the dedicated brethren and a solicitor named Mr Waldron.
Our current church minister is Rev Errol Vassell interim AFB Bishop who was formally appointed as the Pastor of AFB Derby on the 1st August 2015 and relocated to Derby from London with his wife Minister Geraldine Vassell and his family in June 2016.
We are focussed on church growth through the power of our Lord Jesus Christ and are looking forward to 2026 with great expectation for more souls to be born into the Kingdom of God who will be encouraged, developed and empowered for ministry.
